The brothers

Katie took me into a large room in the far west of the castle, in the room, there was 1 bunk bed, two desks, a cupboard in the first half and a large bed, one desk and a bigger cupboard at the other half. Two small children were sitting on the two desks and were busy scribbling in their small pads, and at the other half, a handsome lad was searching something in his cupboard.

“Chris, haven’t you heard the dinner bell? “ Katie asked to the young lad stepping in the other half.

“I heard it but I got lost in searching my slippers” replied Chris.

“And you two? Mother reckons you two are deaf” Katie remarked the two boys at the desks.

“We were coming! For once would mother have patience.” One of the boys angrily grunted.

“Katie, who is that,?’ asked the young lad.

“Oh she’s called Arya, what a funny name, to be honest!” laughed Katie.

“Why so?” I said.

“Well it’s pretty short, we have long names here, you know like Leo is Leonardo and I am Katherine” she explained

She stopped talking and pulled the two boys from the desks, and escorted us to the dinner hall.

Reaching the dinner hall, we sat down to an enormous buffet consisting of roasted sausages, salty omelets, green salads, jelly, and peanut butter sandwiches

During the meal, Mrs. Diana asked me a very peculiar question that I could not answer, “How did the gate open for you?”
