For a lot of time, princess movies typically showed princesses rescued by princes, and then the couple lived happily ever after. Of course, some versions changed with showing the rescuer as a common boy who has his own naughty job like Aladdin is shown as a thief and Eugene from Tangled is too. Soon, in the real world, women rise to power and some movies change like Brave that tells the story of an archer princess and Moana that tells about an independent girl setting out to the ocean, Movies like Brave and Moana also show prejudice done to the young princesses , which is correctly displayed. Movies like Mulan show women as warriors too. My views on the typical prince rescuing princess movies are that movies like this encourage young girls to think that they need a prince for their safety which is not the case. Living happily ever after can be done without a prince too. Pursuing our dreams should be shown in this ever changing world to the young girls to be women. Riding horses to the sunrise, riding the waves and swording opponents are an inspiration! Princesses are aspiring people too !
